The local public media institution Radio Beverwijk started in 1993 with me as program director. I was already active in the founding board from 1992 onwards to get the radio station off the ground. Over thirty years, I performed a large number of tasks within this volunteer organization, including devising, compiling, and presenting thousands of radio programs, coordinating the newsroom, handling purchasing, and maintaining the administration for both volunteers and donors. For many years, I was also the voice of many promos, commercials, and jingles heard on the radio station.
