It was a pleasure to stay with Raimond. He was one of the few who agreed to host us, he was almost always online, answered every question we had (we had a lot since it was our first time), and he knows so much! We had no plan when coming to him, and I suggest you do the same, he will help you make a much better one. Just in the first day we were able to visit two flea markets and a great beach nearby thanks to him! His place is also right next to the train station, which makes going to places like Amsterdam very easy. Thank you, Raimond!

Staying at Raimond I had an amazing time, he cooked dinner (he introduced me to the Dutch cuisine 😁) and we played card games and rummy. Having so much experience as a reporter and radioman is like having a book of knowledge with you, we talked about music, tv shows, his city and history of Netherlands. He recommended really good places to visit. The couch was comfortable and had a good sleep.

I had the privilege of staying at Mr. Raimond's home for two nights, where I found everything in perfect order and enjoyed the company of a lovely cat. Mr. Raimond provided me with excellent travel advice, cooked two dinners and breakfasts for me, and even drove me to a nearby town, where we admired the Dutch coast together. Oh, where do I even begin? My one-week stay with Raimond was an absolute blast! Not only does he have an incredible sense of humor, but he's also one of the most polite and kind-hearted people I've ever met. Raimond took care of me like a true friend, making sure I had everything I needed throughout my stay. If there is a definition of kindness and knowledge the Raimond's photo should be in some point of the definition. There are a lot of things that make Raimond a very good host; Beyond the fact that Raimond's apartment is located in a good geographical point which could connect some other interesting towns and cities in North Holland, he is journalist and has a HUGE list of things to tell. I understood than Netherlands and its culture is much more than just a coffee shop in Amsterdam. He wanted to spend a very high quality time with me and we went to the beach of Wijk aan Zee. When I think in Netherlands, I never thought in beaches but yes, there I was, walking in the beach, seeing people surfing, and listening of the very first war between Aliens and Netherlands:) (know him to get a better context of the joke). We went to Alkmaar and we tried Harris and some other local food. He is a trustful man with a big heart and ready to serve people.

Raimond was a very hospitable host. We became friends right from the start. He made sure I was well taken care of, showed me around his city and neighboring ones. I was with him for Kingsday, so it was a pretty unique experience especially being with a local. He also helped me to find nice Dutch sweets to bring my girlfriend and even surprised me with stroopwafels. I recorded a video with him documenting Kingsday as well as some typical Dutch food (kibbling & herring) that will be posted on YouTube. What I loved most about Raimond was how he helps his community, he looks after the local radio station in Beverwijk. I loved my stay with Raimond, we had hours of chatting and exchange of ideas. We walked to a neighbouring flea market one day and had dinner there. The other day he showed me the harbour of Amesterdam, and the local zoo in beverwijk,then to the radio station, where we had milk chocolate, and met his colleagues, and showed me how the radio station works. I really can’t tell how I am thankful and grateful for all things he offered and the lovely companionship. Thanks Raimond and hoping we meet again one day. We will sure stay on touch.

Raimond is a very nice person, he knows a lot about music and had his own studio. He is also a radio host and we got to go with him to the studio and attend his show. I stayed at Raimond's for two nights. His cat was extremely friendly and she can be super fun (she can talk. Haha). Raimond is a very good, creative and really attentive host. He gave me every details of the town. He were invited in the abandon church by a talented community for dinner. I had a really nice time. Raimond, was an excellent host, he offered me help a few months ago and I could not go, but now I returned with my best friend and my boyfriend and told him that he was looking for options and he took care of me at all times and received us at three at the last moment, we waited at the train station and he took us to his house, we were able to cook together and excellent conversations he is very informed about his city. He was a great guide to take us to the beautiful market and everything we wanted he knew where he was. He got along very well with my boyfriend and we loved sharing with him. Thank you for giving us shopping tips for our wedding and helping us find the shoes hard to find. Thank you Friend for giving us that beautiful afternoon on the beach and for all your great attention. We are very sorry that in the end we were very afraid of not being able to catch the bus to Denmark but thanks to you everything went perfect. Raimond agreed hosting me, even if I changed the arrival date and he wouldn't be at home shortly after my arrival. In the end, also his plans were changed so he showed me around in Beverwijk. I was not thinking to find an oriental souk and gold sellers in the city, so what a surprise. For dinner we went to a local restaurant where the owners are friends of Raimond. Raimond is a fabulous host. He picked me up from Heemskerk. Joined his work in Beverwijk radio station (It is my first time to get in a radio station. How sensational it is). Hangout the town, bought cheap and fresh stuff on Wednesday market. Then showed me around the castle, green houses, steel park, beach, bush walk, helped me to sort out money problem, introduced me marvelous ice cream, dropped me to bus station . And we shared the food and did washing together. He is extremely talented, really knowledgeable, relatively gentle and helpful. He is newspaper writer, a party equipment provider, a DJ, a radio host and so forth. Spending one day with him was quite short. There are so many things I can learn from him. And I am interested in and keen to learn new things. So I will definitely come back again in the future and stay longer. Highly recommend travelers to stay with him and welcome to China anytime! Raimond is my guardian angel. He has rescued me on so many occasions. I am so grateful for meeting him here. He is a great host. On the first day of meeting him, he picked me and my bike up from Amsterdam and took me to a town by the beach. We also visited his friend to help him with computer problems.
The next day, his radio station he started had their 25th anniversary so I watched him be interviewed. I found his radio station fascinating! He dropped me to Amsterdam for some of my interviews, we went together to the casino, Saturday markets and I accompanied him to his storage place to drop some tables.
I felt very comfortable with him. I met a lot of his friends, exes, sauna buddies, taxi buddies, radio buddies. It was a great insight into his life. A life of a journalist. We played fun games too like anti-monopoly with his other friend Raymond. And I learnt a new game called rumico (something like that).
Raimond is great at whipping up a range of dishes that cost very little. Like me, he loves his specials. Thanks so much Raimond for your quirky sense of humour, and making me feel so at home. You are like family 🙂
